Zackariah operated a general store, Latonia Station, Kentucky until about 1890. He moved to Kansas City, Kansas about 1890. Between 1890 and 1896, he left his family and went south. He resided in Denver Colorado from 1909-1916 with his daughter, Statira. Hi died in 1916 in Denver, Colorado and is buried at Crown Hill Cemetery.
