4. s. Aadu (Ado) Grünwaldt. He must be an adopted son (although it was usually mentioned in the registers of parishioners) or changed his last name from Karu to Grünwaldt (it was done so if a person wanted to have a German sounding name). *30.12.1851 in Koorküla md. Confirmed 23.11.1869 in Helme congregation. In 1875 joined Evele congregation. -1879- worked as a hired hand [in Koorküla manor?].
This is probably the Uncle Otto Karu referred to by Great Uncle Hans Tivel as the person who owned a playhouse in Riga in the 1890's in which Shakespeare plays were performed and who Hans visited for a year or two.
